The Bridal Watch - The Cry
Insights received on the 4th prayer watch with Christ for His Bride.
The Bible provides a clear mandate for watching for the return of Christ Jesus, in fact it is one of the messages that Christ Himself repeated in His ministry on earth, and shortly before He died on the Cross of Calvary, and rose from the dead to be seated at the right hand of our Heavenly Father until His return. Those given to intercession and prophecy will find this to be one of their primary calls, or perhaps it should be. This call to the watch is also for all Christians.
However, it is clear from Scripture that the return of the Lord, is also linked intimately to the preparation of the Bride of Christ, the Body of Christ, many say His church, and certainly His faithful remnant. For the Bride is to be made spotless, purified, and carrying the sweet aroma of God’s presence, in readiness for Christ’s return. The One most passionate about this is Christ Himself, and it is He who watches over her, and waits patiently for the Bride to be made ready. This is a key watch of our Lord Jesus Christ. He revealed a shadow of this when He watched from the Mount of Olives over Jerusalem. As the Intercessor, Prophet, and passionate Bridegroom, He continues this watch, and calls many to watch with Him, as we are seated with Him in heavenly places.
As we watch for Christ and the preparation of the Bride, so we are made ready for His return, as we are transformed more into His likeness, and become part of His spotless, devoted, wife. For this servant of Christ, as part of this call to watch for the Bride, often in the fourth watch (between 3-6am), insights were gained, and specific Bible verses highlighted by God, for intercession, and prophetic decree. Excerpts of these are shared, to join with that which others have received, so we can all watch together for the Lord’s return, and the readiness of the Bride.
THE CRY – 28/4/2020
Thank you, Lord Jesus, that You hear the cry of Your Bride, delivering her from despair, pain, and hopelessness, and leading her into Faith, Hope, and Love.
Lord, in your love, bring the hope of God, and healing.
You walk with her in the wilderness, revealing Yourself in the splendour of Your creation, and lead her with the healing hand of the Bridegroom, and the hope of love.
By Your Spirit fanning the fire of faith, stirring up the love that dwells within her heart, one that burns with passion for her Bridegroom.
Hearing the cries of the watchman as he watches for Your return, and over the preparation of the Bride, the Lord responds.
“And behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to everyone according to his work. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last.”… And the Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” And let him who hears say, “Come!” And let him who thirsts come. Whoever desires, let him take the water of life freely. (Revelations 22:12,13,17)
Then I, John, saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband….Then one of the seven angels who had the seven bowls filled with the seven last plagues came to me and talked with me, saying, “Come, I will show you the bride, the Lamb’s wife.” And he carried me away in the Spirit to a great and high mountain, and showed me the great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God, having the glory of God. Her light was like a most precious stone, like a jasper stone, clear as crystal. (Revelations 21:2,9-11)
Now I, John, saw and heard these things. And when I heard and saw, I fell down to worship before the feet of the angel who showed me these things. Then he said to me, “See that you do not do that. For I am your fellow servant, and of your brethren the prophets, and of those who keep the words of this book. Worship God.” (Revelations 22:8,9)
The messenger from God, a part of the prophets, like a brother, comes to a fellow prophetic intercessor to reveal the coming of Christ and the Bride. An angelic prophet/watchman! A fellow servant of the same Master. We are to learn to watch with them. `
