Can a bear dance with a dragon?
Updated: May 18
A prophetic poem for your intercession in Christ
Can a bear dance with a dragon, what an unlikely couple. And yet here they stand, arm in arm they embrace.
What can draw these two together, is it love? No, look again, mutual greed and hearts desires makes for unlikely dance partners.
Look at the dragon, with her flashing eyes and breath. Her gleaming armour can but catch your eye, as the fire reflects of those polished scales. Can anything pierce this skin?
Gaze in wonder at the strength of the bear, His face chiselled like flint. Those arms could break boulders, and the teeth pierce even the toughest hide.
But what of the tail of the dragon, out of sight it lashes with the force of thunder? Quick where is it now, that hidden danger can attack from the rear, knocking you to the ground.
Take heed, look at the claws of the bear. Stronger than diamonds, sharper than the hooks that pierce even the armour of the dragon.
Look again, there is fire, who breathed this? Are we not friends, then why is my house on fire?
And what of that grip, the arms of the bear crush me, where is my breath, why do you turn against me?
Can a bear dance with a dragon, or will their prides cause them to fall? Or, perhaps the conductor will stop the music!
But Jesus knew their thoughts, and said to them: “Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation, and every city or house divided against itself will not stand. (Matthew 12:25)
